A level results good luck

Thanks for the message of luck, my daughter gets her results on THurs and she is very nervous about it. I know she has done her best and I keep telling her not to worry, but they do. Poor kids.
She was kind today and brought me a very early birthday pressie a framed drawing of JBJ, Im a lucky mum !!!!!!!!

Excuse an ignorant American..but what exactly is "A Level." I have an idea of what it is....Just wanted to be certain.

A Levels are the exams 18 year olds take in the UK at the end of school. You can leave school at 16 after 'GCSEs' (other public exams) but for A Levels you take (normally) 3 subjects for 2 years. The results (out tomorrow) are crucial to UK students' university/college places. This is because in this country, you apply to universities who give you offers based on getting specific grades in these final exams. You have not got in until this results day (and only then if you get the grades they want) and that's why it's so stressful!

This is my first time using the new boards, so i'm sorry if i'm using the HTML and stuff wrong.

Anyway, i have just got back from my Holidays in Cyprus, where it was literally "99 In The Shade", and i got my Results today too.

I have only done my 1st year, so these are only AS Level Results, but I got a D, 2 C's and a B, which is actully better than I expected.
