Yeah you're right. Linux is hard. It's mainly been designed by programmers for programmers, although they made a user interface for it, which takes some getting used to. The good think about Linux though is that it's really stable and you don't get many shitty errors like you do with Windows. It's also less likely to be targeted by viruses or hackers. It's not something I'd use on a regular basis though.
