Too many people think raising kids is all cute and fun, and don't realize the amount of work and effort it takes. In the end, the children are the ones who suffer from the misconception the parents had. Once you have a child, that is it. You will basically worry about their welfare for the rest of your life! Besides, in these times with both parents having to work, not having kids isn't such a strange option. Not only are they time consuming, they are expensive too!!
I would like to have at least one.

Don't think it's meant as the most important thing in your life, but you have a responsibility to this life form that is entrusted to you. I think it's a big deal and not something to be taken lightly. That is definitely another reason why I really don't want kids, I'm barely responsible for myself, let alone a child, who depends on me for everything!
