Yeah, yeah, yeah. That coming from someone who hasn't ever even been here. You wouldn't know what is typical. When did I ever say that "it was us that." Seems you are talking to a small group of people and assuming we all feel that way. What else is new...

Aloha !

To be honest I'm getting a bit tired with the anti-yank posts on this board. As you all may know I agree with most of them, but there's no need to come up with them when nothing has happened. I mean, the tit accident from Janet was a valid reason to laugh at the entire media circus over there. Bush is a good reason, but topics like this are a bit unnecessary I think.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yes, it's getting an old discussion already. And it's no American thing. Every single country in the world does that. I was taught history by both a French teacher and a British teacher at university and, believe me, both their countries had won the important European wars! It was funny. But that was all. No hard feelings!

It's just a human thing: mistakes and stuff, you know :P

Also, I always forget to add... Being all anti-American and stuff as "we" are. That America is not a country but a continent! The proper name of the country is United States OF America. America is formed by Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, etc, etc, etc.

So calling the United States America is the most yankish thing you can do IMO.

A lot of brave men died fighting to protect our Island from ze krauts, and its ****ing annoying when a bunch of gimps claim that it was infact a foreign nation that saved us from invasion.. Consider it a history lesson, since a large number of people from a certain country seem to be lacking in historical knowledge

oh and keeper, dont make me count how many times yanks have refered to Britain as England on this board..

Consider it a history lesson, that history is NEVER accurate and is constantly reinvented. I'm not saying you're wrong when you say that you don't like it when they say they won when they didn't. I'm just saying they're not the only ones to appropiate things that don't belong to them. That's all. No American thing. Human thing, more like.

So...? Revenge? At any rate you're making them bigger while they're making you smaller.

thats not whats being discussed here...this was relating to a specific topic, untill you decided to change what I was saying to suit what you wanted to say..

My question to you lot is, how many American pilots do you reckon took part in the Battle of Britain?
And now "several yanks" is what represents a country of more than 250 million inhabitants?

Please come up with something more solid when insulting a whole country than "several yanks" that pissed you off.

Actually, it's no Battle Of Britain thread, it's about "several yanks" lacking of historical knowledge...
