Heya,

I am trying to layer tracks for something of not-great magnitude. What I am doing is this:

I record one track and then plug headphones in and record a second track while the first is playing in the headphones.

The problem is that no matter what I do, the program seems to layer the previous track, even though it is only in the headphones, into the new track and it causes sound distortions. Is this a shortcoming of my sound card or is it an easy fix option in the program; I have never really tried using Audition for this before so I don't know.
