Acutally in the Qu'ran, it says it is ok for a muslim to date someone of one of the other religions of the book - i.e. Christianity, Jews etc....
You need to try & understand how religion is separate to culture - as per Jim's answer. The fact that it brings shame on muslims family if they date a white buy in this country is part of te culture that has grown up with it.

Read above. She is my girlfriend because I love her. That said, love in a western culture & love in an islamic culture can be two very different things (notice how I didn't implicate the religion there).
Does it say in the Qu'ran that parents should arrange marriages??
