Ahonen didi it again today. He won 6 out of 7 now.

And imagine that: a German guy won today's downhill. The first since 92.

Janne makes it a double!

From FIS-SKI.com:
"Janne Ahonen, the Michael Schumacher of ski jumping, struck again Sunday, completing the weekend double in Engelberg Switzerland. The Flying Finn slapped down 134- and 135-metre efforts to beat back Jakub Janda of the Czech Republic by just 0.4 points."

And, Crash, congrets to German win in downhill!

"Finland's Janne Ahonen took the first leg of the Four Hills in Oberstdorf"
So, Janne wins again!! What a surprise!!

The Finns wore black armbands Because of all the victims in the Asian disaster.
On TV they said that they wear it because about 200 Finns are missing there and nobody knows if they are alive, does anyone know more about it?

Anyway, big congrats! Actually, I didn't watch the competition but I heard Janne was to jump in pair with Malysz (did I call it right? lol). So he didn't give poor Adam any chance! How far did he jump?

Janne had the best first round jump of 127-metres, and Malysz recorded the third best jump of the first round (124.5-metres) and thus qualified as top of five "lucky losers".

That's just what it is. They're thinking that there might be over 200 Finnish missing.

Thanks, Nat. I forgot about a chance of being a "lucky loser".

From Eurosport.com: "Janne Ahonen made it three out of three in the Four Hills with an impressive win in windy Innsbruck ahead of Adam Malysz and Jakub Janda. The far-flying Finn is now just one victory away from a historic Four Hills grand slam, repeating the feat only ever completed by Sven Hannawald in 2002."

LOL, I like him a hell of a lot more now that he doesn't win EVERYTHING!
Wait, maybe afterall, he does...
