I can see why he is angry i would be angry too if that hapened to me. But as he said himself most of the people in the country are getting wider. Surley that should be the real problem and they should be argueing about how to fix that not about being paid for extra seats.

At 300 pounds i doubt he would be able to fit into a 16'' seat if that is smaller than a computer keyboard. My friend travells a lot and at 10 stone (140 pounds) can fit comfortably into a plane seat.
