Default Al qaeda attacked Spain!!!

Maybe this is not the best place to say, but I thought you had to know. This morning, 10 bombs exploded inside of 4 trains in Madrid. There are about 200 people who have died, it's been horrible. International terrorism is the worst thing in the world. Thank you for reading me, I needed to tell it.

Nobody knows for sure who it was. It was more likely the ETA than Al Quaida, at least this is what the Spain specialists say and what was said all day on the radio and TV.

At first it was said it had been ETA, but it's been too cruel to have been ETA, they never have killed more than 20 people at the same time. But it looks like an arabe newspaper have published a letter from al-qaeda where they say they are the responsable . It's hard, too hard see your people die. Thanks for your attention, I hope we stand as one... undivided.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. The world is in a sorry state of affairs.

Al-Qaida has been "the usual suspects" for so long I find it hard to believe they're responsible for everything that gets attributed to them. Why would they strike Spain. Spain doesn't support Israel (very much, if any), Spain doesn't oppress their people, etc. Logical targets would be Britain or America if they wanted to strike back at the people who (you think) hurt you. I'm not saying its not possible they're behind it, but I think that blaming Al-Qaida for every act of crime is more than likely just a way to rally people against a specific target, and due to their ethereal nature (when it comes to slipping in and out of a country) it's very easy to convince people that certain reasonable security measures are neccessary to defend against them.

IF it is al kaida they do have a reason because spain supported the war in iraq.
i don't think that terrorists really need a reason to kill innocents but iraq would be their "excuse"...

I don't think it's ETA. ETA usually attacs polis, military, government institutions, not civil people.

I remember seeing in the news 2 weeks ago that the authorities in either France or Italy were searching the rail tracks for bombs as they had been given some info of what might happen, this was linked to al qaeda then .so it looks like it was them .Plus ETA like the IRA give a coded message just before they let off their bombs dont they and i have not heard one report of this on the news. Also it bears the hallmark of Alqaeda as they sent 3 bombs to go off when the emergcy services got there thankfully they didnt go off. But now i truely believe that England is next, the reason for this is that we expected Al qaeda to strick here first as it is seen we are the closest ali of america so it makes sence to leave us wondering when it will happen.I'm sure that Alqaeda is here already and just wait for the right moment. What do you think?

It was/is in France, indeed on the SNCF railways, but it wasn't Al Qaeda nor linked to it.
It was/is an unknown french group with no political or religious ambitions that calls himself AZF (after the factory that accidently blew up in Toulouse 2 years ago) and that was asking for a 4 million euro ransom to not blow up the bombs.
