britain is not an easy target. what i think is that only if they have major help from the inside al qaeda will manage to hit britain.
italy is easier.
also the forthcoming olympics in athens...

That's why they asked NATO to send in troops during that time.

That's actually a scary thought. I've never liked the underground, but I have to take it now everyday and I am not going to be scrutinizing every single person in my wagon or anything.

I mean, ever since 9/11 we've known (or should have known) we're not safe anymore. Europe was convinced we were safe and well and we were invincible. We sneered at the US security measures instead of trying and do something similar ourselves. In a way this should serve so that people realise that Europe is in danger as well. Not to create panic, but to know that we're a target as well.

But as I said, I'm not going to live in fear, because that would be them winning. Let's go on with our normal lives and let us hope for the best.

I wish we could go back to the 20th and start this one all over again - only better.

MADRID (Reuters) - A purported spokesman for al Qaeda has claimed responsibility in a videotaped statement for a wave of bomb attacks in Madrid that killed 200 people, overshadowing Spain`s general elections.
