it would sound better against a backing track, if you're not in a rish then i'll be able to sort one out for you when i get back from holiday (next sun). some parts were good but some were a bit dodgy. i'm not sure what you're playing in the middle of the 2nd solo, when it goes down to the 3rd/5th fret but the tremolo picking bit after that sounds better if you play it as octaves. but obviously it's upto you.

Here's my attempt at wanted, sorry it's a bit rough, i've just not really had the time to do a great job. i've also added a pic of my baby aswell. let me know what you think

Sounds really good, intro seems a bit off tho, the acoustic bit, sounds if there are a few lower notes missing. Solo was pretty good, few wee bits here and there but nothing major. Was that to a backing track or what, what all did u record?

Yeah, I know a few bits are a bit off, only started last night , not bad after an hour i guess. i'll get a final version and my wanted up pretty soon.

Couldn't be bothered with the acoustic part so just went for the solo instead:

nice attempt gaz. i'll give credit where it's due.

do you still have that youtube solo video. the dude with the yellow doublecut doing it.

i'm choking to have a go at this one n watching it being played is usually better than using tabs. especially on a solo as busy as dry county.

Here's my attempt at DC - the backing track I used seems to stagger/skip slightly just after the fast picking section towards the end but I tried my best!

I was quite impressed at your attempt Gaz, well until I listened a little harder and compared.

If you listen to the link Jim posted and the one you claim you played, you can quite clearly hear that they are in fact IDENTICAL. Every single aspect of it is the same - even the few bum notes.

Claiming that you can play something and then giving excuses as to why the submission is sub-par is one thing but claiming you played something and simply ripped it from somebody elses performance is not only reaching a new low but is also plagiarism.

If I'm wrong (which I'm 100% certain I'm not!) let's hear the better version then Gaz - or have you hurt your hand?
