So you're saying I'm stupid? I aced my English Language GCSE, and have made a lot of good posts in a lot of topics on this board. Also, I am only 17, which is younger than a lot of people on this board, but manage to understand and keep up with some of the more complicated and interesting posts here.
Don't ever bring up that as a measure of stupid or not...

loads of people ace exams: I got straight A*s at GCSE in everything except additional maths... and the same at A-level but it doesn't make me cleverer than the next person at all...

English GCSE is the easiest thing on the planet also

age does not = intelligence either

2 basic flaws

No, I don't really care too much about numbers. In fact, I wouldn't care at all if they where scrapped completely. It's just that some people get thousands of posts from posting only emoticons, and get praised for it.

Other people post seriously, and don't get any praise for their good posts.

i feel so sorry for you
so you wanna get praised? Maybe you would get praised if you did come up with some good posts. But apparently you're not capapble of this so don't expect people to praise you.

exactly this post proves it!!!

the only good thing about this post is that in a few days it will have a 107 next to it because it will have evolved into such a big argument - sounds good to me

I don't mean I want praise, just that some people do make really good posts, but no one seems to care. Then some people get a high number of posts with emoticons, and get praised for it.

I actually thought the English GCSE was difficult, but I got an A in it, so it looks like you are smarter than us. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, good for you, I wish I'd got such good grades at GCSE, and I wish I could get them at A-Level, but some of us aren't that smart.
I only got 1 A at GCSE, plus 2 Bs, 5 Cs and a D, so I guess I'm pretty average.
I'm only sitting my A Levels this summer, but I'm only expecting a B and 3 Cs.

I actually have an IQ of around 150, so I guess I'm just no good at remembering facts and figures, but only at applying the knowledge I have.

I actually want to be an Architect, so I have to sit through 7 years more learning, how about you?

Thanks to my GCSE German teacher, all I can do is tell you a little about myself in german (that was the D grade). I think it is cool that choc can make all these in English, and I wish I could speak more languages, but I can't.

the board was terrible for that in october which is why i left... but most of the times the posts turn into smilies because they are going nowhere in the first place

I agree, but it is a bit sad that people boost their numbers that way.

you dont seem to realise that we don't do it on purpose to raise post numbers. to me it's a way of expressing my thoughts. if you dont like it deal with it. but dont think you know why people post smilies
