He didn't say Americans are stupid because they have faith and a religion. The way you say this now makes him post such things. You say "We have a religion" oh yeah, like others don't have the religion you have.

All I know is that he is British and is a teacher. Don't take it all so seriously, that's what he wants and likes. I personally always find his controversial stance quite hilarious.. that's just how you should take it. He says the things to elicit a response.. just ignore it or take it with a pinch of salt.. less stress!

What could be misunderstood about your post then ? And the question what I'd do if I'd be American isn't interesting, since I'm not an American. You don't need to be American to feel the need to defend a country. Though Americans like you think that way.

You're not bad because you defend your country, your bad because you defend your country when krb bashes it into the ground, but in the meantime you open another topic in which you're saying it's a bit silly that they've banned Janet from the Grammy's. Why always the need to defend your country?? I don't really understand that and it isn't only Americans that do it, I think the British are pretty good at that too! Anyway, I really couldn't care less what someone thought of the country I live in. My opinion is what counts and at the end of the day they are only words and unless you believe what someone says to be true it should just be water off a duck's back.

Yes they are, but they're defending their style, like driving left, the subway, drinking tea (sorry I can't come up with better subjects, but you get my point I think) They do not blindly defend the system when it sucks, Americans defend Bush (for expample) and think he's great while about the entire rest of the world thinks he sucks.
