Americans: wot was the abortion bill passed?

This ban was for "partial birth abortion" a procedure done only to either save the life of the mother or to abort a baby that has NO quality of life. The procedure is never performed simply to abort an unwanted child.

This is really an outrage, but sounds so wonderful if you only think of it as an abortion of an unwanted child, which it is NOT!

The life of a mother should be saved (if the mother choses so) if an abortion is the only way to save her. If a baby is so severely deformed that it has virtually no quality of life, the parents should be able to make the decision of whether or not to abort.

No its a morally sound one . I cant belive you are talking about the murder of childrens lives like its a political problem.

There are many valid reasons for it. Perhaps the best one I can think of is "It's my body and my CHOICE" After that I can argue morality or politics but I'm sorry - It IS my body.

And the baby doesnt it have a body too? and arent you controlling its choice?. If someone doesnt want it adopt it out but dont kill it just cause they ****ed up and were to ****in stupid to either put on a condom or take the pill. Another problem is socity today sex is such a causal thing and people arent willing to take responsibiltys for there actions anymore.

It's not all about not wanting it or being careless. I know a girl who was raped when she was 13 and got pregnant. Should she have kept the baby and given up her future as a result of an awful thing she had no control over?
