an e-mail (forwarded thousands times & then came to me)

apparantly part of the reason the aids epidemic is so bad, especially in places like africa, is cos of ppl like the pope telling ppl not to use condoms. there was some african country, i think it is uganda, that has the highest rate of aids in the world, cos of catholic teachings. it used to have average levels of aids but then the pope did a campaign there to tell ppl that contraception is bad, so loads of them stopped using condoms and caught aids, and ever since the popes campaign its had the highest rate in the world.

Im not sure what id do in that situation i think i would say i belived through. Weather or not i do or dont is another story im sorta in the middle but i cant say if theres a god or not and if there is i wonuldnt be slapping him in the face. I agree with the letter to that extent if hes real and he created existance its selve then anyone who said no should feel ashamed for it.

Religion is between you and God (or between you and nobody in case you don't believe :P ) I think these posts / emails are useless, pointless.

I do believe, but I believe MY way.

Plus if someone was about to kill me for saying yes or no... well, they'd probably kill me regardless of my answer since they're obviously crazy.

I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything, but Peter himself (was it actually Peter?) denied Jesus three times!!! And he's considered the first Pope. I think the important thing lies in being true to yourself! If you lie to save your life or whatever you're not comitting a sin! If God can't understand that... well...

I don't see the necessity to show off one's religion. If you actually believe and have faith, you don't need to say it out loud, IMO.

Nice little story...but one wonders how sum1 would recognize Jesus in the first place? hes not sum stereotyped american with a beard and long hair as most ppl think... he probably was black or wotever from were he came from. Last time i checked, i hadnt seen any pictures of our lord in TIME magazine..so how the little girls picture she recognized was jesus i dont know!
