Of course. But Adrian says it's a good thing that Nader will be taking votes away from the democrats, which will only help Bush win the election. Bush was more than happy when Nader announced his presidential bid again this year. He knows that will help him. Why do you automatically assume that everyone votes democrat or republican?

I wasn't reffering to Adrian's post or yours, I was just asking.

Well very few people seem to consider voting for anyone else. If the number 3 in the ballot weighs about 2%, I think I'm not that wrong when generalising.
Tell me if I'm wrong, but I guess, just like in most modern democracies, that a lot, if not the majority, of people in the US are fed up with politics and politicians. The US pres. election is one of few chances for Americans to change things, yet very few of them take that chance.
I mean if a guy like Nader (Or any other "small" candidate) made just 10% it would already make a big change in your political set up.

I'd vote my conscience ie Libertarian, if I was certain a democrat wouldn't get in to office. Republicans are almost as bad as democrats though, I hate both parties.

So...you're a closet Bush supporter? He's the only republican candidate and I doubt Nader's 2% will get him to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
He's marginally better than any of the socialist...er...democrat candidates.

Isn't that what we always have to do? Is anyone else sick of politics already?

That's not a novel idea, Goosey. That's the way I vote--it's one reason our primaries annoy me. You have to align yourself to one party and there are often times, especially with local politics, that I would like to vote for candidates running on different tickets.

Why not do it for national politics?
