Yup, they are burning. He said in the interview with Dan Rather that there is no way he would set them on fire, war or no war.

Another lie.....
Who is he? Saddam?

And Bush is a decent person or what?

So you would rather live in Iraq under Saddam rather than Bush?? This is if your only option were the two. Your call. Whatever floats your boat.

I'd rather live under Saddam than a Big Bomb... & then no infrastructure.

1 Million Babies r gonna die in Iraq due to lack of medical assistance... Any water.... & for what??

Operation Awe & Destruction indeed... This is just one big show... An excuse for Bush to play with his big toys!!!!

A one-sided invasion against an under-strength Third World Country that poses no threat.....

I will have to disagree with you on that. Only because none of us know what it is like to be a citizen of Iraq. I am not saying war is the answer and that we should make a society there we approve of. But on the other hand, people should be free, something the citizens of Iraq are not, as long as Saddam is in power.

None of us have the experience of living under a dictator like Saddam, so we can't relate.

In Iraq under Bush? That's an interesting! He probably wouldn't be able to tell Iraq from Texas anyway.... there's oil.... there's death penalty... three color flag and a star in it... nearly the same

I'd like to live in USA under good old Billy.

What's better? Being ripped off by a dictator and be aware of it, or by the devil with angel wings who say he'll helo you live a prosperous life?

This war is so pathetic. I got the feeling they started it few hours after the ultimatum expired for economic reasons.... All the TV stations spent millions in preparations of the event coverage and they would be disappointed if it didn't happen on schedule. It's all a result of growing mind sickness of western world and USA in particular. First you get reality tv sitcoms, and now here are reality TV war movies

So you also can't say US type of (virtual) freedom is better that Iraqi type of freedom.

Sorry if that wasn't clear. I mean live in Iraq with Saddam or the USA with Bush.

After watching what he does to his people, I would take the US "freedom" any day.

This post is quite correct in my view! passionately put...

true democracy was a stillborn - it existed not in anything other than ideology and utopia...

i was reading about how a US citizen was arrested in a supermarket for wearing a shirt saying something like "No to war" !!! how democratic is that!
