Sorry, just phrased that a little wrong.

I've read the post, and although it is a nasty, personal insult, it wasn't as bad as I'd heard about. I'm not condoning what he said though.

From how people where talking about it, I thought he'd killed her or something.

I don't know, it just wasn't quite as bad as I'd expected before I read it.

It's not like no-one ever makes attacks against him; all the time.

Many people seem to forget (or should I say want to) that there's a line between being "controversial" (whatever that means) and going out at someone like that when that someone merely *asked* a question (and it was specified that that was nothing more than a question). That was definitely uncalled for as far as I'm concerned. I have no problem arguing with the guy but sometimes you will have to admit that the line was crossed (I bet no one even read that other thread where death was wished on all the Americans, did you?). With this said, I have no problem whether he stays or not, it's up to him
