Default Another Chapter To The New Year...

Well, as I've told you all.... My Grandfather from my Dad's side died on New Years day due to Pneumonia. In 2003, my Grandmother on my Mom's side died due to kidney failure and in 1994 my Grandmother on my Dad's side died of Cancer. Well, the history hasn't been pleasent and today I found out the my Grandfather on my Mom's side could be having kidney failure. In this case, he's not eligble for transplant due to his age so if the doctor detirmines kidney failure, he'll be passing on in a matter of a couple weeks. I really don't need to add this one to the list of bad things this year. It just keeps building so if everyone doesn't mind... Keep my Grandfather in your prayers. Thanks.

Ryan

Jeez, Ryan this year hasn't started off too well.

I'll definitely keep you and your family in my prayers.

Gee Ryan - the year is not starting out great for you is it? I certainly hope that your Grandfather is fine.
It's always hard to lose people that are close to you. By the time I was your age I had lost all my Grandparents and my Father and a few friends in Vietnam. Fortunately for me - I have had a long time since then without losing anyone. It never gets easier though. You and your Grandfather will be in my thoughts.

I'll keep you and him in my thoughts. Let us know what that doctor says - hopefully it will be good news.

That's tough.

I understand he can be too old for a transplant, but can't he get hemodialysis?

He can yes... But after seeing my grandmother (His wife) on dialysis and the way she suffered.... He decided not to go through with it.

Though I understand his view, I doubt the doctors will allow him to go on with that decision. How old is he?
