I just have to ask, what do you think he did with all those WMD? Saddam is such an upstanding guy, I suppose he just got rid of them somehow? Come on, someone like Saddam just doesn't decide to follow the rules after he throws out the UN weapons inspectors. He had them then, and he has them now. Probably even more than before. The most unfortunate thing is the "get them before they get us" mentality which has been present since 9/11. Oh, well. It's out of my hands.

Mouse, that can't be. According to Mike, the REAL news they receive over there reported that our Government was not going to allow anti-war protests, thus threatening our democracy. Could this suggest that their news sucks just as bad? I guess it could.

I dunno - he's not launched any against America before has he??

Or threatened to??

UN inspectors r back in = deterrent = doing the job, so there is an alternative to the attack

Won't be war as it'll be so one sided

They said on the news today that they will lower the National Alert back down this week. They also said that it is being lowered because a war with Iraq is not "imminent". Maybe Bush has decided he better start listening to popular opinion. I'll be happy when this guy is gone in another couple of years. Maybe in the next election, people will start listening to me.

And for Mongoose: What would you feel like if a war in your country was anounced? Or do you at least know what that'd mean?
just noticed that ^

hmmm, I am a royal air force reserve member, so yes I have a fairly clear picture of what that would entail..

also war is possibly only a few weeks from being announced in this country... so there's no need to word the question so hypothetically...

we all know what it would entail - it's not just a US problem
