Just go for it. You have nothing to lose. Speaking from experiences in this situation, the best thing for you to do is to tell the person who you like that you like them. Its better than bottling it all up and then making a fool out of yourself or this other person finding out another way. GO FOR IT!

My feeling is you only live once! Go for it. What is the worst that will happen, he says no. At least then you know where you stand and can move on. Or...you may end up a happy little couple.
