Default April Fools Day SUCKS!!!!!
Hello Everyone

I know Peter has to do this coz the server is overloaded. I have spoken to two other users about it already (Carli and RichieW) and we have all said we will donate money to Peter to keep the board alive. If we can get another 7 people and we each donate Ten Pound. That is a hundred pound. We even said we would donate more if needs be.

If anyone else could donate a little amount or basically whatever they can, Please post here.

I am waiting to here back from Peter about how much he needs for a new server. But a few have already said we will donate whatver it takes to save Jovitalk.

The donation is for a new server that will be able to handle our amount of posts.

To buy a new server that would allow lots of posting, instead of having all the old posts deleted and the 15 post minimum enforced

Aloha !

There's no talk about this board being brought down, I'm sure most forums will be deleted like the movie forum, the music forum, and most of all the Fun and Games forum. That will work. My idea is just, this board has grown too big, and if it goes back to how it started it for sure will work again. My thoughts are that you're just scared of losing your job being a mod and losing your total amount of posts...

So no, don't count me in. Peter first will take the steps I just described before actually needing to ask for money. So my answer is no.

Sponsorship doesnt bring in near enough money. I dont know how much exactly it would cost. I am waiting to find out. But whatever we can scrape together will help Peter out immensly.

Although I commend you Kev for your idea, I don't think I would donate to such a cause. I don't really mind starting back at zero. The number of posts that I have really doesn't mean anything in my life. After all, it is just a number. As for the 15 post minimum. It would probably do us all some good. Being on the computer too long can't be healthy.

Plus, I just bought a new house. So if it is between some new pillows or my posts, I go for the pillows.
