Most of the topic forums dont need to be on this board. THis is ment to be a Jovitalk board , not a games, film, file, pic sharing, etc . Why cant the people wanting to post take these type of forums and make their own gfor example games forum, there are enough free messageboard forums out there.

This board could be more heavily moderated to stop and control off topic posts , could this be a way round the problem?

For those wanting to post moer than 15 posts a day could consider a payment I suppose for over use of the board. I usually only post up to 4 a day anyway , so being restricted wouldnt effect me.

I thought this problem was sorted out with the sponsorship ads on the board ?

If you read the entirity of this thread you would have seen this topic already been discussed. The sponsorships/adverts dont pay for near enough.

I did see that , but I was just raising the point again !

As I said I wont really be effected by the restrictions , but by the look of your amount of posts , you will be going COLD TURKEY :P

I think paying for a new server or whatever wont be the solution for this. i mean, no server will allow infinite posts (i have no idea how this things work so i may be talking shit but whatever). What i mean is that you CAN'T keep your amount of posts forever, so what is the point? I think this is going to bring a new life to Jovitalk, help to keep things clean

Yes i am extremely sadden by the news today, as are a LOT of other people I have spoken to. There are a few of us who are willing to contribute to the costs of running jovitalk. I think its only fair that we give something back to Peter for doing such a wonderfull job. He has a lot of costs to consider to the running of Dry County and Jovitalk in particular. That is the reason why I have suggsted this.

Fair enough, I know a lot of Jovitalkers dont post that much and dont like the Games and I understand completely that they do not wish to pay for to contibute to the running of jovitalk. I know I would probably feel the same if I didnt post that much. But I would like to thank those who have so far agreed to contributing a small amount to help our favourite Message Board / Community. I hope there will be a few more regular Jovitalkers who also dont mind helping Peter out.

Two things

First of all, count me in, i don't post much but i like reading them, and this board is ten times better then any other BJ site, official or non-official. A lot of hard work and passion has gone into this, and lets be fair, Peter creating this site has brought us all together and allowed us to communicate when the band are not on the road etc...

Secondly, to some people who have a forever negative attitude ( not mention a name!!! ) To say that Kev is worried about losing his moderator job is wrong, and its obvious you know NOTHING about him, i am good mates with Kev and he is one of the least selfish people i know, and he thinks of others before himself, so its totally out of his character to worry about that AND if Kev was worried about that, so what? He has been an important member of the community and is pleasent towards people and respects what people have to say, unlike a certain member on the board!!!

What about the file-sharing forum? How are we going to be locked out?

I wouldn't mind going back to 0 posts or have a 15 post per day limit, but I also wouldn't mind donating 10 quid to this wonderful place, so count me in!

What about deleting old posts from 2002 - wouldn't that make some space?
