I wouldn't have bother you mentioning my name as it's quitte obvious you're talking about me. I never said Kev is selfish, I said it's pathetic if he's so desperate about losing his moderator job and total amount of posts that he's willing to pay to save everything on this board.

Just because you like Kev (and so do I) doesn't mean I should agree with everything he says and/or does. When I say I find him pathetic when it comes to this, there's nothing disrespectful about it, because I just tell him the truth on how I feel about it. Most people don't agree with it, so what ?

And still, Kev didn't explain why he wants to save all the older posts plus his total amount of posts. It's been quite obvious he cares deeply about his amount, and in some ways I think he's even proud of being the biggest poster here. There has been no talk about closing the entire Jovitalk board yet, just several forums that don't have anything to with Bon Jovi themselves. He makes it look like Jovitalk will be down forever, which is not the case at all. If you want to spend money on those forums, feel free, but don't get upset because I don't want to.

What if accounts that haven't been accessed in a year's time were deleted? Would that help?

No, I do not think I am pathetic for wanting this. Its perfectly normal.

Seb, without sounding horrible, I am just trying to help Peter keep the board alive and run it how it is at the moment. This is not pathetic. Please, if you do not wish to contribute and help Peter out then thats fine. I have no arguments here. But i am trying to do a good thing for everyone here, not just myself. Yes I post a lot here as do many people. I love it the way it is, as do most people. I think it would be a real shame not just for me, if everyone were to lose our posts. Again, this does not make me pathetic. I am simply trying to do a good thing for the benefit of everyone here, not just myself. If you dont wish to donate, please dont hate other people for wanting to do so.

no offense but it's kind of.. hm.. to weird to care so much about your total amount of posts. quality not quantity :P j/k
i think that some people here gave some good ideas, like deleting old posts or old accounts or some of the forums. i would donate money only if the board was closing down for good but not to keep my number of posts. after all there are some forums i have never (as far as i remember) used or i rarely visit.
