Default Are we responsible

for our own actions? The reason i ask this because on the news there is a mother of three who is blaming the state for her three daughters all being pregnant under the legal age. Her first child got pregnant at 16 the second at 14 and the third at 11 . Yet it seems as though the 11 year old got pregnant first . The Mother however is saying that its the states fault for not educating her childern properly. In my mind surely she should have told them about the birds and bees and not to rely on the education system. I think its terrible how some people will not stand up for theit own mistakes .Its about time someone told her the true facts of life and that you are responsible for your own actions , well thats what i believe anyway!

Its the parents resposibilty to educate their children as well as the state. I dont think that mother should be blaming the state. She needs to think again. Even if the state does educate kids on the birds and the bees its still up to the parents to talk to them again and make sure they understand it all.

Well maybe it's changed in 10 years but we did sex education when we were 10 so logically all of them had learnt it, but I'd say it's her fault too, not so much for not educating them but not knowing they were having sex at that age and talking to them about it. Obviously the 16 year old is legally able to have sex and thus entitled to get pregnant but her mother does still have a legal obligation to her until she is 18 I think.

On the other hand, if sex education was "forced" upon her minor children, she could sue the state for exposing her children to the subject.

we've got an abundance of degenerate ****wits up here and their lack of job, education, drink or drug habits, poor area they live in is never a result of their actions. that's not how it works you see if anything goes bad it must be someone elses fault.

I'd have the social onto them for being young single mothers and onto their mother for letting that happen. seriously.

She could not go from claiming the state failed her for not educating her children properly, something they more than likely were, to claiming they taught them too early or too much.

She is completely irresponsible for not knowing what her daughters were doing, and at least to the 16 year old, who is legally entitled to have sex (presuming it is a story from the UK), she should have talked to her about contraceptives and such, and if she knew the others were in sexual relationships she should have tried to stop them, or at least talk to them about contraceptives too.
