I don't think I am at least not in the standar way. I have my things and my don'ts and my pet peeves. But I don't mind walking under a ladder or breaking a glass. I love making wishes though

05/05/05 is such a cute date though

It's "superSTITIOUS" and "superstitious" and no, I'm not.

I don't really think that my birthday being Friday the 13th is "good luck" - it just happens to be my birthday and I like that day It also makes people uncomfortable when I tell them that and I have never been above making people uncomfortable

I go to London on friday 13th .. do you think I'm gonna make it ... ?

In japan (where I lived several years back in the early 80's ) the calendars have several days a month with special marks as VERY BAD DAYS where you are not supposed to do anything special (too dangerous ) it's called BUTSU METSU and it's bad its somehow related with Bouddha's death and nothing can be done on those days ... because they can't guaranty nothing very bad will happen to you

JBJ's useless trivia number 485766:

In Japan the number 4 sounds like death or somethign similar and is regarded as bad luck. As a result most hotels don't have a fourth floor and production goods going up in numerical order usually skip the 4 in a series.

the number 4 is called if you talk in a pure japanese way (with old japanese word ) yon and it's fine then but the chinese reading of 4 is also SHI and SHI means death this is why .. though a lot of word(terms) are pronounced SHI in japan but their hotels don't have neither 4 nor 13 floors (not everywhere though) japanese are the champions of superstition ... my daughter Uta has a kanji for her name which means poetry and it is also possible to read it as SHI .. honeslty I myslef HATE to read it this way and read it the other way ... UTA (poetry or song)
a lot of japanese don't say 4 = shi but say 4=yon because of the sound which is BAD LUCK
