I'm not superstitious. I use to have the cutest black cat a couple years ago and once I dropped & broke several bevelled mirrors that were going on our foyer wall and nothing bad happened to me except that I had go out & buy more - ooops! Superstitions comes from a time when people were afraid of their own shadow and needed to explain why something bad happened to them.

A very similar thing created religion; people were afraid because they couldn't explain everything (where did we come from, why are we here etc), so they created religion

I don't think love is created - just happens! As for the religion comparison - agree completely. If the sun rose it had to be because a certain god deemed it. Or if there was an earthquake then the gods were angry. They needed something to explain why.

If I believed in superstitions, then i better be wearing bubble wrap and a helmet for the rest of my life...or maybe it would be even safer for me to live in a bubble -- because i may end up getting some Black Plague or something; I have no idea how many mirrors i broke, but the years keep adding every year. :P
