I suppose arranged marriages are alright - i mean, if its a part of someones cuture, I cant do anything about it. It is their culture. Just like how Americans eat cows. We dont all eat cows, but no one starts telling them that eating cows is the right way. And I know cows isnt anything up to the standards of living with someone for the rest of your life - cows just popped in my head, and I cant find a more better arguement (no matter how corny cows really are..).

Anyway.. I would much rather be married to someone I loved than to someone who I just met and have to make babies with. Im sure that most of the time, that love does come into the picture - it just must be so hard at first to get use to the idea of getting married when you are so young...

Do marriages in India still happen at young ages? I read books that said that marriages use to be when the girl was 14. Is this still common place? Or do they allow more flexibilty, such as: marrying when the girl is 19 or so?
