Ok, let's all get down to earth...she ain't all that great.
Complicated is a nice song, with a huge Alanis-feeling
at some points. She could have been a little more
original, but hey, I liked it, so I downloaded the rest,
but my god, it's like a diary turned into an album.
A 14 year-old's diary that is. I mean, the music
sounds catchy at times, but the lyrics are just awful.
It would have been better if she had practiced for
some years, grow in the songwriting-part, get some
more experience and then release an album. It might
have been much better than. A review I read said it
in the right way 'some nice singles, but a whole album
is too much right now' ... come back in a few years.
I only kept 4 songs of the album, including Complicated,
that were kinda worth listening.
BTW, I believe that this is the fault of the attitude
of record companies nowadays. Why hit the charts
when you're 17? It's about time the focus went
back to quality instead of age and looks.
