What I really want to point out is that American people are sooo nice and helpful, for example you only have to stand in NYC with a map in your hand and the first one to walk by will stop and ask if he could help Also very friendly people in shops and restaurants, and in most of the hotels and motels And they were pretty interested in Germany, it was a pleasure to talk to them. AMERICANS ROCK!
Thank God you didn't come back with a horror story. I am really glad that you had a nice time!!

Ok I’ll try to post some pictures this week I’ve never done that, so hopefully I’ll manage

@ Laura: Yes we had a flight from New York to San Francisco. And we had a rented car all the time, one from New York to the Niagara Falls and then again one in San Francisco for the rest of our trip until Las Vegas. We had an Impala at first (man this was a big one!) and then a Chevrolet Classic which was a very new one. Both were really good to drive
The helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon was about 100 bucks each person...but it was worth every cent of it. There are even more expensive ones , where you fly in better machines and have two pilots But we dared to risk the cheaper one...

@ Sara: Wow you’ll have such a great time there, I promise! You have to tell me everything about it

@ Jim Bon Jovi:

@ spunkywho: Yeah, actually I found driving in LA more difficult than NY...more lanes to take care of and other streets over and under the street I drove on... But driving in NY/LA or San Francisco or Las Vegas really makes you learn a lot, I’m not afraid of driving in any big city anymore

@ Kathleen: Goose – who’s this?

@ Mousebounce: I already knew from the board what you Americans are like, now I got the proof

@ Dawn: Yeah, Las Vegas was very very windy, really scary But this wind is strange, it’s so hot and doesn’t make the heat more pleasant I really didn’t like the air in LV, it made me feel sick It’s so hot and then all this exhaust gases... terrible combination You can’t stay outside for too long. However, Las Vegas is great, I’ll go back there one day, that’s for sure

Ok the pictures are to come

are you sure? try athens then. you will most likely get out of your car and walk... :P seriously athens is the worst place to drive. agressive drivers and huge traffic.
(your trip sounds great. glad you've had a great time )

Athens, really? Didn't know that, I always thought that in Europe Paris and Rome were the worst to drive in (and with the worst drivers...) I'll have to come to Greece and check it out No road is safe from me...

i don't know about paris but in italy drivers are sooo good and calm when compared to greeks. also the traffic here is so annoying that many times i have thought of leaving the car in the middle of the road and just walk or something (as i already told you :P) . ah... and there's also problem with parking. in the peak hours there's nowhere to park your car except for the parkings that you have to pay quite a lot of course.
