Why must the fans be divided into Backstage and non-Backstage fans? What difference does it make where you post. I post at both boards. What does that make me? A Dry-Stager?

Seriously, Dan (is that your real name, Mongoose?) if you don't like Backstage, don't post there. It's that simple.

As for the touching Jon thread, I didn't even look at it until just now. That subject has been rehashed again and again on Backstage and I knew I would have no interest in reading or posting in it. That's the coolest thing about message boards, you don't have to read or post in threads that don't interest you.

As for being a fan for the music, that's my main reason. I certainly would not have all those cds if I only liked Jon's looks. I don't even like actors because of their looks alone. Without talent, my interest wanes pretty fast.

but then i distinguished between that in my definition... not all women but "those" - a particular type of women who ARE in it just for the looks... and if you are on both you have to admit that while not ALL are like that, there's a very high percentage over there and everything is pro-Jovi... fascist board

Yes, I absolutely agree. Some fans at Backstage are embarrassingly obsessed with Jon's body. Others refuse to hear anything negative about him or the band. But that doesn't mean that "backstage sucks... officially" as Mongoose so eloquently suggested. It just means there is a quite large, diverse group of fans at that site who should not be grouped under one insulting classification.

I actually picked this post out earlier as

But I guess this doesn't speak for all of Backstage (It did get rated 2 stars) but this post is def. female orientated

& I just didn't bother reading it....As long as posts r labelled clearly like this one was I don't mind - I just don't read it (although the 40 odd replies got my interest up as I knew an argument was going on...)

But to be fair there r some great ppl on Backstage who can take a discussion & many who obviously can't - but having read Gooses reply I am speechless... I can see a banishment on the horizon, I think you'd best go to hiding Goose....
