No, the fact that Keane may not be able to get back to how he used to be and may retire early on in the season is the only thing that will really hurt united....

But then again, these new signings may help, and I still think that Scholes and Veron in the middle will kick some arse!

Beckham will be missed from free kicks because he's the best, and he gave them something on the right, but he was never one of the key key players (Scholes, Van Nistlerooy, Keane). I'd have been much more worried if one of these went....

Anyway, if Keano goes he'll be replaced by Viera

But for me Man. United and Becks are two different things. Man. United is a soccer team, and Becks is beer.

if utd can live on without eric cantona, then they can do so without david beckham, a player not even half as good or influential as the great frenchman.

The main area United will loose out is in everything financially the name Beckham brought to the club, and the fact that Real are now making a lot out of it

He'll be missed as a player because he's world class, but he will be replaced, and the club will move on. It'll look like they're missing him a hell of a lot in the early part of the season as they don't have a big replacement, but one will come through, I'm guessing in the next 12 months they'll have something permenent for the right
