no because saying they all gave an equal amount is ludicrous. there were guys on the pitch that hadn't played a game in that world cup and were just stand-ins. in that case you have to give the whole squad one and you see how it escalates. becks has got it because he's a great leader, great captain and always manages to get us out of shit. he's a good father and role model to youngsters, provides our country with endless amounts of press coverage, does a lot of charity work, and, most of all, is a thoroughly bloody nice bloke!

They were part of a team that won us the world cup, something that prob will not happen for many years to come.

I think Beckham was too young to get the award maybe at the end of his career but not yet.

I think Beckham was too young to get the award maybe at the end of his career but not yet.
David Beckham has done enough to be worthy of an OBE, how about all those people who arent famous and have done the same as Becks but they're in the background and there are some probably around his age, does this make them too young as well?!

The end of the day its not about the age thing its about what you do for your country in which ever aspect you do it and he is one of the few that have been recognised for this, so what if hes only 28 that means nothing. I bet by the time hes 50 he will be Sir David Beckham.
