coming to my door is forcing their religion on me?

if i tell them to **** off and they persist yeah.

is someone who comes collecting for charity "forcing" their charity to me? no they're highlighting it.

it's technically an invitation to treat. I do not need to listen to thema nd it's as simple as that.

i've been in several pubs where guys have came in trying to sell crap that i don't want. i don't need to buy them, on the other hand sometimes they have had stuff i've wanted and I have bought them.

not too different when you get down to it.

I have no great love of religion but saying someone turning up at my door in the hope I might want to convert without actually ranting on is forcing their religion on me is bullshit IMO.

That's not bullshit. If I want to know more about religion, I know where
to find the nearest church, they don't have to come and tell me that. Even
without ranting on about it, it's a form of forcing their beliefs upon you.

And yes, I am also annoyed by all the other stuff ppl try to force upon you.

Let's turn it around, let's say we go door to door telling religious people
that atheïsm is the way to go in life. I'll bet you for a $100 that they'll
come after me with pitchforks and burning torches.

It would be considered ridiculous and provocative.
