how did you propose btw was it just a case of lying in bed one night and saying do you want to get married or was there some sort of planning and "event" around it.

apparently my dad phoned my mum when he was drunk one night and proposed because all his mates were getting married

My future husband and I were at a cowboy bar in California one night - drinking and dancing (so I guess we were under the influence too). I told him I was thinking of going back to school to study engineering. He countered by dragging me out behind the bar to the back parking lot and asking me to marry him. Saying yes was one the smartest things I ever did. I have never regretted it one minute and I'd do it all again. Since we were only 20 when we got married we have really grown up together - we met at 15. It's a very long term relationship LOL.
