Bin Laden Surrounded By Forces...ALLEDGEDLY

I saw it on the news. U.S. Troops have Bin Laden surrounded on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Troops are waiting on Bush to make the call for them to go in and get him.

Well, we knew that was coming...

What a um...surprise. Bush is watching his approval ratings dropping like a stone and needs to pull off something big. His ratings went up with the capture of Saddam, image what will happen if they get Bin Laden. A capture of Bin Laden will all but lock up the election; Saddam's capture was just a casualty brought on by old scores to settle.

Actually, even without this, Bush would win if the election were held against Kerry today.

President Elect predicts that President Bush would win 286 electoral votes and Kerry would win 252 (Down from 307-231 in September).

That's the opposite of what I saw recently. I can't remember which news show it was on, but they said Bush would lose the election if held today because of the large amount of jobs lost in states that have a large number of electoral votes...Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana. And in their projection, Bush would win Ohio and Indiana.

Actually, that doesn't surprise me. I don't believe much in polls b/c they never tell the truth. I don't think anyone will have a clue as to what will happen until Election Day arrives. But I posted this to counter the people who keep posting polls to the contrary. One never knows...

I can't find anything about this on the news.

They don't have an article up... I'll hear more about it tonight.

LONDON, Feb. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- US and British special forces have cornered Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in northwest Pakistan, British newspaper the Sunday Express reported Saturday.

Bin Laden and "up to 50 fanatical henchmen" were cornered in a mountainous area near the Afghanistan border, the report quoted a US intelligence source as saying, adding that US special forces were "absolutely confident" that he could not escape.

Bin Laden moved into the area, 16 kilometers wide and deep "north of the town of Khanozai and the city of Quetta", about one month ago from another area 240 kilometers to the south, the report said.

The area is under surveillance from a geostationary spy satellite while US and British forces await orders to move in.

Al-Qaeda is held responsible for the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that killed nearly 3,000 people in 2001. It has also been suspected of supporting insurgent attacks on US forces in Iraq.

General Richard Meyers, chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff, said Thursday US forces were engaged in "intense" efforts to capture bin Laden

Anyway if they do catch him (with no help from anyone else of course..sas anyone ;d ) its about time ;d + lets hope this doesnt influence some silly people into voting for bush..whats he got to do with the capture?? Theres a lot of soldiers that deserve credit for it, he deserves none, but will get it all
