When he's arrested, trialed and (probably) executed, he'll rise more support saying he's innocent then saying he's guilty. He'll then be a martyr.

True, but if he can gain followers by saying he DID order the attacks, wouldn't he use that? He's such a fanatic that I can't imagine him hiding his involvement for a sympathy play, especially when it could net him a whole new following.

what u have to remember is that he has people that are devoted followers to him so whatever he pleads he will become a martyr if he is killed. this seems to be such a difficult topic to disuss over a forum, its going to go on there is no right or wrong answer to the argument you are putting down americans trained him but they did not know what the outcomes this would lead to it is very easy to criticise people using hindsight

strange, again just some newspaper lied and the world belived it crazy, took quite long till they announced it's not true.
I just hope they do`t get him before teh elections, cause it seems like some Americans would vote for him no matter how much nonsens he makes , just because of catching Osama, even he personally would be the last to be responsable for that,

i read it in the paper too but it was the news of the world or somethign nice and smutty like that. had a photo off a settlement that he was supposed to be in.

seems kinda strange that they'd let somethign like that out in the open but i suppose the middle of a mountain range in pakistan isnt the easy place to phone and say "hey u better get out of there cos ur surrounded"

anyways. i think the best bet for the US to do is kill him and make it look like he died from natural causes.

then he just died, he wasnt caught by the "evil westeners" or died for his cause he just died or so it would seem to the world.

**** the bastard the sooner he's dead the better.

Bush is going to win regardless if he catches Osama or not. I don't think Kerry really has much of a chance b/c he doesn't seem like that strong of a candidate. Of course I could be wrong, but as of right now I think Bush has it in the bag regardless of what the various polls say.

They may not have known the outcome, but they definitely ignored some warning signs. We trained this man, we knew he was a terrorist when we started handing out weapons. Jeez, our last payout to the Taliban (not a terrorist organization, but they allowed bin Laden free run of the country) was in August 2001. We made bin Laden, and he came back to bite us. Now we're scrambling around trying to figure out how to trap one of our own creations. Simple as that.

Actually, the statement came from a US pentagon official.

The paper claims he is in a mountainous area to the north of the Pakistani city of Quetta. The region is said to be peopled with bin Laden supporters and the terrorist leader is estimated to also have 50 of his fanatical bodyguards with him.

The claim is attributed to "a well-placed intelligence source" in Washington, who is quoted as saying: "He (bin Laden) is boxed in."

So the newspaper in the UK said. Doesn't mean it is true.
