So I got the new stick of 512 kingston and it worked fine for 4 days straight with several large programs open, then my friend took it back to college with her and praised me for fixing her computer so quickly. I took this praise and said give me more, and so she did. Yay

And now, she is back at school and memtest86 tells her that her ram has errors (which were not there the day I gave it back, I checked). Her computer just shut off again, and it ain't the power supply because it is a new 400 watt.

BAH!

Is there anything that could cause the RAM to go bad like this, or was it just the 8 hour drive back and her mishandling of the computer?
