Yes you do need to give an explanation. You mods are most of the time chosen by the other users. Also, the policy is made that way that most users agree with it. If any mod starts to make weird decisions by their own a user should be allowed to ask why something was done and a moderator should be able to clarify why he did it. This should always be in the boards sake. Not because a moderator dislikes something - a thing that happens often with Sambi-Chris, and has happened a few other times with you, Kev, as well. This makes it a power trip and it's got nothing to do with moderating a board.

Also, a moderators decision isn't final. Yes a mod decides, but if the other regular users disagree a moderator should make his action (a for example deleted or locked post) undone. If a moderator does not do this, it's got nothing to do with moderating, but it's all about a power trip.

So:

Unless people complain about it. Then a moderator should apologize and admit he/she was wrong and undo it's action.

No it's not. That's complete bollox. There's a trash can hidden for the regular users and you can always put back a "deleted" topic. Duh.

This all looks for arguments sake for me. A mod who doesn't apologize and doesn't admit he/she is wrong is obviously trying to cause an argument.

Where's the freedom of speech then? What you're saying is you can't discuss a moderators decision, because a moderator is always right. Yeah right. Just admit it Kev, you're wrong. And it's not the first time you're in the line of fire. But just because you're on your power trip when it comes to drycounty.com doesn't mean it should concert the rights and freedom of speech from other users.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
