Just been listening on the radio...its really shocking, but its good to know the police are acting so quickly on this. Its worrying to think how many more are out there, iv no doubt that those bombers yesterday wanted to cause the same devestation as two weeks ago.

So true, thats why I asked the question, why are they attemtping the london underground again? Surely they should know the whole place is on full alert, hence the shooting earlier today. Perhaps they are not as clever as I once thought....

Its still an easy target, something like a million people use the tubes every day in London, no checks are made when people are getting on the tubes and theyre all packed in like sardines. The reason why those bombs didnt go off yesterday was through good luck, not good management. The police had no idea they were on the trains until the bombs failed to go off. If they had done it would have been 7/7 all over again

Very true carli. But my point is Why do they continue to chose London as their main target, instead of 'trying out' other major cities in the UK? Dont get me wrong, i want them to stop alltogether. Of course I do, I just cant get it into my head, WHY London?

Exactly. It is an easy target, just at the subways are here. No matter how much security you have, it may not make a difference. You can't keep something of that magnitude 100 percent safe no matter what you do, and the terrorists know that. For them, it even looks better if they can set off an attack with security at an all time high, just to show they can.

I like your point on the whole security issue, but who are they trying to look better infront of? It isnt exactly winning over any fans. If theyre chosing to do it now, with security on high alert, then its only going to increase their chances of being shot, and the bomb not going off at all...just like today. It doesnt make sense. (To me anyway)

It's not about winning fans, it's about proving that even when the place is on high alert they can still get in, showing that they aren't afraid to do so, the idea being to make the media again and make people more afraid.

You got it!! They are trying to relay the message, "You aren't safe not matter how hard you try. We can still get to you."

Ok, that makes sense. But I'd still like to know WHY London?
