Notes From A Big Country Bill Bryson (extremely delightful chronics of an American guy back to the USA after more than 20 years in the UK )

Thank you for all the replies...

Cristina, I will keep on reading Pride then, I totally trust your advice.

Maria, the book you are talking about sounds really interesting, did you pick it up yourself?

Kathleen, the Feynman's book you mentioned, is it a kind of autobiography?.

I didn't know Cohelo had a new book, I loveeee all his books, I need to check this one.

And, Adrian how can you read three books at the same time?

Thanks everyone for the replies, I made notes of all your recommendations and as soon as I am free today I will have a look at their reviews.

I multi-task. Actually, I just seperate when I read the books. Gatsby I read at night, the other two I read at different times during the day. Just finished Going Solo.

I actually did the same a few weeks ago but only with two books: Deception Point on my way to and from the office and Shadow...at night/weekends but then there was a moment I couldn't leave it at all.

I've been reading Bernard Cornwell's trilogy called 'The Grail Quest' and I've nearly finished the last book, 'Heretic'. It's about old western European warfare and the hunt for the grail when the sword and bow were the weapons of the battlefield.

Some other really good books I've read recently:

Unintended Consequences - John Ross (An excellent if, um, er, technical and explicit, depiction of a third American Revolution, you have been warned if you decide to read it )
Don't Shoot The B*st*rds Yet:101 More Ways To Salvage Freedom - Claire Wolf (An entertaining, practical yet political book)
Brimstone - Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child (Absolutely superb mystery/thriller)
Ice Hunt - James Rollins (So-so sci-fi/drama)
Our Right To Drugs - Dr. Thomas Szas (Extremely interesting and radical)
Good To Be King - Michael Badnarik (States the blueprint for American liberty in simple yet interesting terms)

I loved his Notes from A Small Island - absolutely loved it and laughed a lot reading it. Then I went on to read Neither Here Nor There and hated it. He makes a fool of himself by saying the most stupid things and mocking one and all for no reason at all, just because. But I think I have the one you're reading somewhere and I have read bits and pieces and looked good. But after the Neither Here Nor There fiasco I don't feel like reading it anymore

You really shouldn't.

I have never been able to do that either. I just can read one book at a time, otherwise I get things mixed up
