bruises

Not to sound melodramatic but that could be serious. Do you have neck ache and can't stand bright light at all? Also get someone to check your back with a glass. There's some identifying feature whereby the bruise disappears or does't that can give you an answer as to whether it might be meningitis or not. I would seriously get it checked out though if you have any or all of the symptoms above. Check google for meningitis info too - that should answer the glass trick question for you.

With meningitis it would be a rash and the rash is the last symptom before you get really sick. I don't think it is meningitis.. especially if she has had the bruise for 2 months.. she should have been dead by now if it was that (No intention in scaring you Panama, but it is a good thing to rule meningitis out!)
The thing with the glass is if you press on the rash with the glass and the rash disappears it isn't meningitis, if it stays it is. Good trick to know!

Thought it was bruises not a rash. Sorry, didn't mean to alarm, just a very concerned DC-er! Should get it checked out anyway though.
