Duh! That's the whole point of the joke. Too bad you're so insecure about your candidate that you have to defend him on a messageboard.

I understand a whole lot, Jess. Probably more than you. So don't insinuate that I'M stupid. I may be American, but I'm far from stupid like you Europeans would like to believe.
Oohh... With comments like that, I don't think you do.

No, we just think you (that's singular) are stupid. We have enough sense to separate government from the people, but people like you make it sometimes hard. And who really gives a **** about what you think about Europeans, it's not like you have done anything better.

I have laughed many times over what he says. But something about people making fun of and pointing out all the bad things about us when their own leaders are beneath pond scum leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
??? Care to elaborate? Who's done what to whom? W is an ass. The only reason he's made it so great was because of the 9/11. It gave him a chance to play the hero part. Plus he's got qualified people working for him. He himself should stop thinking altogether, which he basically has.

Shall we debate the ethics of some other world leaders? It's time for you all to wake up and realize your own governments are as morally and ethically corrupt as ours.
I care to disagree. Show me one thing where the Finnish government has acted immorally or unethically. Or Swedish, or German. I'll show you a dozen where the US **** it up.

Ice my man
U did a fine job, again
I couldnt have said it better
And u know, sometimes its a shame to know they (americans) originate from us europeans

And statements like that help things so much.

At least Ice doesn't have to resort to stereotyping to prove his point.

what happens between americans and europeans now is called political differences rather than american stupidity. if germany or france or any european country had the same interests as the us, in iraq for example, they would have done their propaganda as well- and many people would believe them...
let's not forget about previous wars.
so, i don't disagree that some people are brainwashed but that doesn't mean that all americans are like that. this is just as bad as when someone says that all muslims are terrorists imo. stereotypes are used everywhere but it doesn't mean that they're right.

I'm not defending him. I'm just pointing out how ridiculous people can be. You're helping me make my point. Thanks.

I would just like to point out that a lot of America bashing goes on here and I think we Americans take it pretty well. JMO

If we said the things about your countries/leaders that you do about ours you would be just as pissed off as we are at times. Face it,a lot of people on here say they are not anti-American,but if you would listen to yourselves it really sounds like you are.You can have your own opinions and that's fine, you should. But really, stop and think how youwould feel if your country was constantly critsized on here. Have you noticed that the Americans defend their country, but many times, don't come back bashing yours, and there is plenty to say. It is always America that is bashed,and/or G.W. Maybe this is why some of the Americans get a little hot at times-we can have our opinion too, right? We will alsays be o.k. when the someone needs help.

^^^I don't think anyone is critisizing or bashing America the country. I think what people (me included, and I'm American) are critisizing and bashing is the confederacy of dunces that rule this once great country. If people can't seperate the rulers from the country, well...I guess that's a problem for them then.

Adrian

There is a "dunce" somewhere in everyone's government for sure. I don't think a lot of people can seperate the people and the country, why should they? IMO,it's the people that make the country. The whole point was that there isn't bashing of any other country more than the U.S. on here. While it seems many want to call patriotism "brainwashing"-I wonder if they know what is going on in their own country? Whatever it is-I'm sure it's our fault

No, I'm not proving your point, you are.

To make it easier on yourself. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. You're not gonna find Bush-lovers on this board, and with most of us from Europe, your anti-Europe attitude won't help either.

You do that, it looks like it's the one thing you can do.

Well, that tells a lot about you and your friends. I'm glad not everyone is like you. You've got a lot to learn about the world and how it works. I suggest you take a trip to the real world sometime.

How about describing who, where and when did this happen: "their own leaders are beneath pond scum leaves a bad taste in my mouth. " Name me the people, tell me where and why. I can tell you many things the US government has done that were immoral or unethical.

Oh, and did you forget your discussion about " morally and ethically corrupt" leaders. Couldn't find any?
