Did you happen to catch Bush's press conference this afternoon. I was flipping channels and caught it on CNN. I watched for the headline "Bush OKs spending for special ops to Afghanistan and Iraq" and prompted changed the channel. Like I didn't see that one coming

Heard about the spending on the radio. Yeah, I saw it coming. I've got some figures on the spending that don't add up. If my info is correct, only like $53,000,000,000 is going to the "War" on "Terror". Where's that extra $35 billion going? And also, this has got to be the first time in history that war has been declared on an abstract noun. Jeez, I hate this guy!

Definitely true about emphasizing bits that suit their arguments. Moore certainly isn't any different.

What I like about Michael Moore, though, is that he actually gets up his butt and DOES something. I particularly like the parts where he goes off about the voting issues. Everybody complains, but then the turnout at the voting booths is pathetic. Not only at high-level politics, your everyday life is ruled by a very few who got off their butts, unfortunately most of them, act in their own interest. It sucks, but when it comes to Joe Average to sacrifice their daily soap-operas they cop out. They rather put up with shit.
