Default Can you explain me this?

What does the following actually mean?

"Falling apart at the seams"

I see it so often but don't get what's its meaning. Does it has something to do with feeling really bad and broken down?

"The line"

there are so many formulations:
"walk the line"
"draw the line"
"cross the line"
what does it mean?

yep. You got it.

People may refer to themselves "falling apart" if they feel really bad and the whole world seem to unravel. Falling apart at the seams just makes it a bit more poetic, I guess.

Auseinander fallen im Gegensatz zu sich zusammennehmen. Also wörtlich: an den Nähten auseinanderfallen. Zusammenbrechen.

And since the title is Bad Seamstress Blues, the line relates it a bit more to the seamstress

I'm thinking it is more an analergy of clothing coming apart at the seams.
