Now that I believe!! It is true though, there have been loads of studies for and against and I think that will always be the case. Research does depend greatly on the writer's vantage point.

prior to contrary belief, in the UK at least smoking still is by far the biggest killer. it just happens to be easier to see someone drinking themselves to death and seeing the effects that someone turning their lungs black.

u smoke a joint ur p[retty much havign a fag with a ton of other shit in it that alot of it u dont know what it does to u.

not wanting to be a hypocrite because u all know i drink like a fish but hash and grass have never did anything for me so i've never smoked it in large quantities but i have alot of friends that have turned pretty much into vegetables thru it.

was in the pub the other week actually and met a guy i was best mates with in my old scheme before i moved. he started smokign weed 2 years agop just before i moved and now he shakes, slurs his speech and repeats himself all the time and thats not when he's been smoking thats just the result of it. to go from being a really smart guy to that from 2 years of smoking dope is a really worryign thing and i know for a fact he's not the only one thats gone that way.

I'll stick my 2 cents in here. I grew up in the 60's - need I say more? lol
I had plenty of friends who did go on to use harder drugs and more alcohol. On the other hand, I also know plenty of people who still smoke a joint now and again and are quite responsible citizens, myself included. I don't smoke cigarettes (I quit, I used to smoke) and I don't drink much alcohol (I do like a glass or two of red wine but thats about it). I became a respnsible civil/structural engineer and had 3 kids so smoking dope did not ruin my life at all. I think it tends to be a matter of balance. People that are inclined to over indulge in drinking alcohol are just as likely to get hooked on harder drugs.

just remembered the 1st time my now girlfriend ever got stoned. it was just before we started going out but she was totally out of it and cliched as it may sound, it was as if there was somethign controlling her or she was a different person and it really freaked me out cos she was my best friend and the stuff although only for an hour or 2, messed her up.
