Default CD/MP3 Titles/Pictures

Does anyone know how to copy a cd so that when someone puts the cd into their computer it will give album details, picture of the album artwork and other information ?

Thanks in advance - i want to burn some original material

I think you can open the mp3 with winamp, go to the mp3tag and fill in the info. The info will be shown in WMP.

That information is not on the CD. The only information on the CD are the titles of the tracks and the title of the album. Each CD has a validation code and programmes like Winamp and Windows Mediaplayer recognize those codes and link them to a site where the information is published.

Yes, that is true, but I think what letitrock wants is a mixed mode CD or a CD Extra. You can make these using Nero, and although I have never tried it, it looks pretty simple. It lets you add photographs, artwork etc, and other things; like video or excecutable files.

It is like a CD Single that has bonus features; it lets you create a menu, from where you can link to your pictures, or anything else you wish to include.

This would work if you where to create an MP3 CD, which would save CD space for other material, but would not be playable in any standard CD player.

I remember doing that when I first tried making VCD's, lol.

The only surefire way to do that (other than printing it on the covers) is to add the id tags to the mp3 files, which is easily done in WinAmp.

There is no way I know of to add the information directly to a CD.
