Default Christmas and Decorations.....

When do you get in the festive mood and put your decorations up?

I've just been speaking to one of my sisters and she said that, Joanne our other sister put hers up last weekend. Saying this, Joanne has also written her Christmas cards ready for sending.

Mine usually goes up the first weekend of December. I hate putting up the tree, it takes so long. I'm really bad at Christmas cards too.. they're always late...

I used to put it up the first weekend in December, but found that the weekend before Thanksgiving is much better. After all, I can enjoy it already on the long Thanksgiving weekend.

I also always buy lots of stuff after christmas when everything is on sale and once home, just store it with the other Xmas stuff. It is always fun and a surprise what I got last year - cause I won't remember till next year

Christmas time is my favorite time of the year

I can't have the tree up that long. One of my cats loves to chew through my Christmas lights and of course the baubles are the best things to play with!!

I hate the fact that all the shops are already decorated with Christmas-stuff for a few weeks already. I am not in the Xmas-mood yet !!! It's waaaaay to soon !
I like the times around Christmas but they don't have to start so soon with all of it ... Like the Christmas-markets ... Always nice but you can hardly find a good one the week before Christmas cause everybody gives the market weeeeeeeeeks before.
Is this just in Belgium??

No, loads of Christmas stuff here too, it's getting ridiculous. Does Belgium celebrate St. Nicholas too??

We've been selling Christmas stuffin our store since August. Talk about a little too soon. We actually had stuff for Christmas come in before Halloween stuff came in.

As for decorating. I try to have everything up by Thanksgiving. That way, like Spunkywho said, I can enjoy Thanksgiving with all my holiday decorations up.

I usually start decorating the second weekend in December. Otherwise it seems too soon! I love to do the decoration, though! The tree and in Spain we have also a little scene with the shepherds and the three wise men and Virgin Mary, St Joseph and little Jesus in the manger! it's nice to set all this up!

I'm looking forward to it, even if I don't like shops with Christmas stuff already either!
