GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL!

I can prove it...

Why just a few measely thousand years ago my home state of Michigan was covered in snow! I was shocked. I researched it, and it turns out this 'special' snow was called a 'glacier' (I had never heard of it either, but I am not a scientist).

And now look at it! Nothing left--Ruination; People...running around living everywhere. Grass...Houses...Cars...Prosperity (except in the auto industry haha sweet irony)...

Assholes.

no one claims glaciers take a few thousand years or so to disintegrate but if you don't think they ever existed and you don't believe mankind is ruining this planet then you're a fool.

im pretty sure you could search back posts from me from a few years ago saying i didnt believe ir or didnt care but sooner or later you;ve got to realise that the world can only sustain so much life and when that life keeps growing at a rapid rate whilst also diminishing the worlds resources for susataining life, you're not far away from disaster.

You are telling me that scientists and talking heads (and people who invented the internet) who can't even predict the weather tomorrow are going to tell me how the climate is going to be in 50, 100, or 1000 years from now.

It's fear mongering and attention needing and guilt. Everyone needs a cause. This one is popular right now, just like global cooling was popular in the 70's.

are you seriously suggesting that the levels of carbon dioxide we are pumping into the atmosphere are not having an effect on this planet?

...We do recycling here...and although it took a bit of getting used to it's worth it!...The supermarkets could cut down on packaging...but they won't if it risks losing sales...There is so much that can be done

...and I think the general public would be happy to make small sacrifices/changes in lifestyle to safe guard the planet as we know it. And bigger ones if need be. I think the Goverment could do alot more too.

The thing that worries me is the people in power... because the bottom line seems to be money making. In the South America the rainforest is one of the worlds biggest assets. One is that it helps to keep the climate stable... So the People in Power have choices...Do we keep the rainforest and help to keep the climate stable? ...Or do we cut it down as fast as we can and grow soya for animal feed, make money and risk making the climate unstable?

Sadly they chose the latter...Who gave the permission??

My point is enjoying the absurdity.

My point is shysters like Al Gore who need a cause in order to stay relevent and make money and give meaning to their lives, whether the cause is real or not.

My point is people who don't thoroughly examine facts before going on crusades that will make life harder for people everywhere and instead allow themselves to be lead around by the nose.

My point is that this global warming theory is NOT fact and it is becoming less and less accepted by ACTUAL climatologists (excluding Al Gore, the greatest scientist of our day).

My point is the same scientists and people wailing about GW now are the same scientists and people who were wailing about Global Cooling then.

My point is GW theorists line their own pockets with sub-par 'enviro-friendly' product revenu as much as corporations do creating CO2 and petrol because GW is a business now.

My point is not that GW is NOT true, but that there really is no evidence for it; or, to be more accurate, there is as much evidence against it as there is for it, which makes for one hell of an argument--NOT a conclusion.

My point is revelling in the absurdity.

Hummm i can see your point. I went to an enviromental conference last year were it was discused about global warming. i put across the question that wouldnt the world change its climate anyway wether we polute it or not? The answer was yes of course the world is changing all the time but the problem is that it has never changed at this rate that it is now .Yes it has been proven there is real global warming and yes large parts of the land will be flooded by the rising sea levels caused from the polar caps melting .This has been proven , yes this would happen anyway naturaly but not at the rate that it is now .The only difference is from now to years gone past is the polution that we are pumping into the earth .
Also wether you think this is right about global warming or not polution cannot be a good thing and what ever we can do to reduce it we should do.
