i think the whole i cant do anything about it thing is just something us in the UK adhere too.

in germany they're REALLY big on recycling. there's bottle banks and different bins for different materials everywhere.

there's also very little litter lying out on the streets which i found kind of strange but if you think about it. if people in the UK didnt throw all their crap ont he street and we had more recycling depots, different bins etc... the individual doing their little bit along with everyone else would make a difference.
